Abstract:
A flow rate adjustment valve 10 is provided with: a casing 10 having formed therein an inlet opening 12, an outlet opening 13, and a flow path 14 for connecting the inlet opening 12 and the outlet opening 13; a valve opening 26 provided in the flow path 14; and a valve body 32d which moves from the upstream side toward the valve opening 26 and away therefrom to adjust the degree of opening of the upstream-side opening 26a of the valve opening 26. The valve opening 26 has: a throttle section 26c having a smaller opening diameter than the upstream-side opening 26a; and an expanded opening section 26d formed continuous with the downstream side of the throttle section 26c and having a greater opening diameter than the throttle section 26c. The valve opening 26 is configured so that, when the upstream-side opening 26a has a predetermined degree of opening, the area of the valve opening 26 through which fluid flows will be smallest at the throttle section 26c.
