Abstract:
A valve device (CV) according to the present invention has a first pipe (L1) mounted as a support member to the outside of a housing (1) receiving a valve body (3) in a rotatable manner, and a tubular first sealing member (S1) is provided to the valve body (3) in slidable contact therewith by a first spring (SP1) serving as a biasing member supported by the first pipe (L1). A recessed portion (S14) is formed on a slidable contact surface (S11) of the first sealing member (S1) with respect to the valve body (3) so as to at least sandwich a through hole (S10) in the rotation direction of the valve body (3). This reduces a contact area of the slidable contact surface (S11) of the first sealing member (S1) with respect to the valve body (3) by an area corresponding to the recessed portion (S14), and a biasing load of the first sealing member (S1) on the valve body (3) is reduced accordingly, resulting in a reduction in frictional resistance between the slidable contact surface (S11) of the first sealing member (S1) and the outer peripheral surface of the valve body (3).
