Abstract:
A valve base-less butterfly valve and a soft sealing method therefor. The butterfly valve comprises a valve body (1) and a valve flap (2). The outer diameter of the valve flap (2) is less than the inner diameter of the valve body (1). A soft sealing structure (3) is sleeved and fixed on the outer surface in the radial direction of the valve flap (2). The soft sealing structure (3) comprises a soft sealing ring (31), which is provided with a cavity having an annularly through interior. The butterfly valve is provided with a medium input/output pipe (4) in communication with the cavity of the soft sealing ring (31). When the butterfly valve is in a closed state, the soft sealing ring (31) approaches the inner wall of the valve body (1). When the butterfly valve is closed, a medium is filled into the cavity of the soft sealing ring (31) via the medium input/output pipe (4), the soft sealing ring (31) undergoes a distension or displacement and then is attached to the inner wall of the valve body (1), thus implementing the sealing of the butterfly valve. Before the butterfly valve is to be opened, the medium in the cavity of the soft sealing ring (31) is expelled via the medium input/output pipe (4), the soft sealing ring (31) automatically reverts to the original state, and then the butterfly valve is opened. The butterfly valve effectively solves the problem of sealing, is structurally reasonable, provides a great sealing effect, and has an extended service life.
