Abstract:
Provided is a silicon-atom-containing UV-curable composition that has exceptional workability when applied to a substrate and that, being cured, yields a product having exceptional mechanical properties and low outgassing characteristics. This UV-curable composition is characterized by containing (A) one or more organopolysiloxanes or organosilanes having an average of more than one cationic polymerizable functional group per molecule, (B) a compound that releases a basic substance upon being heated at 60-200°C, and (C) a photoacid generator, the composition containing substantially no organic solvent, and the viscosity of the overall composition as measured at 25°C using a type E viscometer being 500 mPa∙s or less.
