Provided is use of metal phthalocyanine/nanocarbon hybrid for electrochemical reduction of CO2. The metal phthalocyanine/nanocarbon hybrid can be used as electrocatalyst for reduction of CO2, and catalytic activity, CO product selectivity and stability are improved significantly.
