Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a two-phase alloy which is a metallic material suitable even for use in highly corrosive environments with a temperature range as in oil wells and which has high corrosive resistance equal or superior to that of conventional ones, has satisfactory mechanical properties, and is inexpensive; a product obtained from the alloy; and a process for producing the product. The two-phase alloy according to the invention is a two-phase alloy which includes Cr as a main component and in which two phases, i.e., an austenitic phase and a ferritic phase, are coexistent, and is characterized by having a chemical composition which comprises 34-70 mass% Cr, 17-45 mass% Ni, 10-35 mass% Fe, 0.1-2 mass% Mn, 0.1-1 mass% Si, and impurities as the remainder, the total content of the Ni and the Fe being 30-65 mass%.
