Abstract:
This turbomachine comprises a shaft, an impeller, a casing, a motor spaced apart from the impeller in an axial direction, and a seal part that seals a space between an impeller side and a motor side. The impeller has an impeller inlet through which fluid is admitted, and an impeller outlet through which the fluid is discharged. The seal part has a rotary seal part provided on the shaft, and a fixed seal part provided on the casing. The rotary seal part and the fixed seal part are spaced apart from each other in a radial direction and extend in the axial direction, and form a leakage flow path through which the fluid discharged from the impeller outlet leaks from the impeller side to the motor side. A maximum seal diameter of the leakage flow path is larger than an entrance diameter of the impeller inlet.
