Title:
TRIPOD-TYPE SLIDING CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/116661
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a constant velocity joint that has improved durability, is compact and inexpensive as a result of rolling elements of roller units of the tripod-type sliding constant velocity joint being in stable contact with internal roller and external roller transfer surfaces. As a means of providing the above-mentioned invention, a tripod-type sliding constant velocity joint is provided with: an outer ring (1) that is formed in a cylinder shape and has three raceway grooves, which extend in the axial direction, formed on the inner peripheral surface at 120° intervals in the circumferential direction; a tripod (6) having three tripod shaft sections (6a) that extend radially; and roller units (11) that are supported by the tripod shaft sections (6a), and are inserted so as to freely rotate in a raceway groove (1a) of the outer ring. Each roller unit (11) is constituted by an outer roller (2), a plurality of bearings (3), an inner roller (5), and a cage (4) that holds the bearings in an equal arrangement, and once assembled, the roller unit (11) does not disassemble during use. Furthermore, with regard to each roller unit (11), the raceway groove (5b) of the inner roller (5) and the bearings (3) are in contact at a single point P2, while the raceway groove (2a) of the outer roller (2) and the bearings (3) are in contact at a single point P3. A line L3 connecting contact points P2 and P3 has an angle with respect to a line L2 that is perpendicular to a rotation axis centre line L1 of the roller unit (11), and this angle is defined as contact angle α. The roller unit (11), characterized in that the inner roller (5), the outer roller (2) and the bearings (3) are arranged so as to have the contact angle α, is employed.
