Abstract:
This invention provides a tripod-type constant-velocity universal joint (1) comprising an outer joint member (2) in which three track grooves (5) extending in an axial direction are formed in circumferentially trisected positions around the internal periphery and which has a roller-guiding surface (6) disposed circumferentially facing the track grooves, a tripod member (3) having three leg shafts (7) protruding radially outward from the circumferentially trisected positions, and a roller assembly (4) fitted over the leg shafts, the roller assembly being composed of an inner ring (12) fitted over the leg shafts, a roller (11) fitted into the roller-guiding surface, a plurality of needle rollers (13) disposed between a cylindrical outer peripheral surface (12b) of the inner ring and a cylindrical inner peripheral surface (11b) of the roller 11, and a pair of washers (14, 15) disposed on both axial sides of the needle rollers and the inner ring and attached at the outer peripheral edges to the internal periphery of the roller, the tripod-type constant-velocity universal joint characterized in that φdmax−φdmin ≤ 0.002 mm, where φdmax is the maximum diameter of the needle rollers (13) in each roller assembly and φdmin is the minimum diameter.
