Abstract:
A tripod constant velocity universal joint comprising an outer joint member 11 and a tripod member 12 that transmits rotational torque while permitting angular displacement and axial direction displacement between the tripod member 12 and the outer joint member 11, via a roller 13. The tripod member 12 has a leg shaft 19 protruding in the radial direction. The leg shaft 19 rotatably supports the roller 13 via a needle roller 24. An inner washer 26 is arranged between a root section 25 of the leg shaft 19 and an end surface 27 of the needle roller 24. A spring section 31 that elastically impels the roller 13 towards the outside of the leg shaft 19 in the axial direction is provided on the outer circumference of the inner washer 26.
