Abstract:
A tripod constant velocity joint includes: a housing having a tubular shape and three track grooves formed thereon and arranged in a circumferential direction thereof; a spider including a hub disposed in the housing and three journals each of which extends radially outward from the hub and which are arranged in the track grooves, respectively; and three bearing units fastened to the journals, respectively. Each of the bearing units includes: a track race disposed in the track groove while being fastened to the journal to be tiltable; and a first ball array and a second ball array which are interposed between the circumferential surface of the track race and power transmission surfaces forming the track groove and arranged to face each other in the circumferential direction thereof, and each of which includes multiple balls. The first and the second ball array are arranged at positions different from each other along the longitudinal direction of the journal.
