Abstract:

Provided are a transport device and a transport method in which a thrust force is efficiently enhanced and power consumption is suppressed.　The present invention is provided with: a first magnetic body provided to an object to be transported; a magnetic circuit having a core comprising a second magnetic body, and a winding wound on the outside the core; and a drive circuit for supplying current to the winding of the magnetic circuit, wherein the magnetic circuit includes a first magnetic circuit and a second magnetic circuit that is adjacent to the first magnetic circuit and positioned on a side to which the object to be transported is transported, and when the first magnetic body is positioned closer to the second magnetic circuit side than to a first predetermined position between the first magnetic circuit and the second magnetic circuit, the drive circuit supplies a current to the winding of the first magnetic circuit so as to generate an electromagnetic repulsion force between the first magnetic body and the first magnetic circuit.
