Abstract:
A transparency evaluation method according to one embodiment comprises: a step for acquiring N frequency distributions with respect to a target color in N prescribed regions in a plate image, the N frequency distributions having at least two color feature quantities as variates; and a step for evaluating transparency on the basis of the N frequency distributions and a first reference frequency distribution with respect to a first reference target color, which is a target color of a first transparent state. The plate image is an image corresponding to an evaluation plate in which an evaluation target including a specimen is held in a plurality of wells. The plurality of wells have at least one sample well that holds the evaluation target including a sample. At least one of the N prescribed regions includes an image corresponding to the sample well. In the step for evaluating the transparency, the transparency is evaluated on the basis of a center-of-gravity vector from the center-of-gravity position of a first reference target color region in the first reference frequency distribution to the center-of-gravity position of a target color region in the N frequency distributions.
