Abstract:
A decelerator (1) is provided with: an outer gear (6) which is disposed centered on a rotation axis (O1) and which has a plurality of outer teeth (5) on the outer circumference; and an inner gear (4) which comprises a main body (4a) that is centered on an eccentric axis (O2) offset from the rotation axis (O1), and a plurality of inner teeth (3) that mesh with the outer teeth (5) and that are arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction about the eccentric axis (O2), and which rock so as to cause rotation about the rotation axis (O1) with respect to the outer gear (6). The inner teeth (3) have balls (37) which are rotatably supported on the main body (4a). In a state in which the balls (37) and the outer teeth (5) are in contact with one another, the frictional torque between the balls (37) and the main body (4a) differs from the frictional torque between the balls (37) and the outer teeth (5).
