Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a transmission control device a transmission control method, and a program with which it is possible to suppress vibrations due to the engagement of a lockup clutch. [Solution] A transmission controller, comprising a continuously variable transmission which has a primary pulley to which power of an engine is input, a secondary pulley which transmits power to a driving wheel, and a belt wound around the primary pulley and the secondary pulley, performs a transmission process such that: the rotation speed of the secondary pulley increases according to a rise in the torque transmission capacity of a lockup clutch of a torque converter provided between the engine and the primary pulley, and after the lockup clutch is engaged, the transmission ratio of the continuously variable transmission is shifted to a high side or a low side so as to cancel a recovering operation of a drive shaft twisted by the engagement of the lockup clutch.
