Abstract:
This drive device is provided with: a differential provided with a pair of drive shafts that are rotatable about an axis, a pair of motors that are coaxial to the respective drive shafts and that generate torque about the axis, a pair of side gears that are connected to the respective drive shafts so as to be driven, and a casing that is rotatable about the axis and that is gear-connected to the side gears so as to permit a differential between the drive shafts; and a pair of planetary gear sets which are each provided with a first gear that is connected to the casing in a fixed manner, a second gear that engages the first gear and that is connected in a drivable manner to one of the motors so as to receive an input, and a third gear that is connected in a drivable manner to one of the drive shafts and that engages the second gear so as to decelerate the input and to output the resultant to the drive shaft.
