Abstract:
A torque limiter comprising: a first rotating body that has a cylindrical outer circumferential portion comprising a permanent magnet; a second rotating body that has a cylindrical inner circumferential portion comprising a hysteretic material facing the cylindrical outer circumferential portion and that is provided so as to be able to rotate coaxially with the first rotating body relative to each other; and an elastic body that is fixed to the outer circumference of the second rotating body, that has a ratio E1 (22°C)/tan δ (22°C) of no less than 20 MPa, where E1 is the dynamic modulus of elasticity (22°C) and tan δ is the loss tangent (22°C), and for which the dynamic modulus of elasticity E1 (22°C) is 1.0 MPa to 10 MPa, inclusive.
