Abstract:
The present invention relates to a torque converter that transmits, to a transmission, torque of an engine and a motor of a hybrid vehicle. The torque converter multiplies, through a planetary gear assembly, torque inputted to a case and transmits same to an output shaft. The planetary gear assembly transmits torque of the case transmitted through a fluid clutch to the output shaft and transmits torque of the case transmitted through a lock-up clutch to the output shaft. The torque converter may be applied to a hybrid vehicle that transmits torque of an engine to the transmission and transmits torque of a motor to the transmission. The torque converter having the fluid clutch and the planetary gear assembly may be disposed further inward in a radial direction than the motor.
