Abstract:
The present invention reduces weight and improves strength in a torque converter. A torque converter (100) is provided with a front cover (1), an impeller (2), and a turbine (3). At least one of the front cover (1), an impeller shell (21), and a turbine shell (31) is configured from a fiber-reinforced composite member. The fiber-reinforced composite member is formed by at least one of a first fiber section (52) oriented in a first direction around a rotational axis core and a second fiber section (53) oriented in a section direction differing from the first direction.
