Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a tooth surface cleaning tool which does not require individual packaging of a melamine resin foam sponge and which has improved strength and an improved effect for removing the impurities on a tooth surface, as compared to conventional tools; and a powered tooth surface cleaning device which is capable of removing impurities on the tooth surface extremely effectively with a simple configuration and operation. This tooth surface cleaning tool (100, 100-2) is a tooth surface cleaning tool (100) made of a melamine resin foam sponge. The melamine resin foam sponge is obtained by applying heat and pressure to a material in which a liquid dentifrice has been included, and drying the resultant in a compressed state. Further, this powered tooth surface cleaning device (1) is configured such that a tooth surface cleaning tool (100-2) comprising the melamine resin foam sponge having the abovementioned configuration is detachably mounted on a mounting base (5) that rotates the tooth surface cleaning tool.
