Abstract:
This tilt device comprises a reverse input blocking clutch 12 constituted by: an input shaft 13 to which rotational torque is input; an output shaft 14 from which rotational torque is output; an outer race 15 and a side plate 16 that are restrained from rotating; a plurality of cylindrical rollers 17 that, by being engaged and disengaged between the outer race 15 and the output shaft 14, control the blockage of rotational torque that is reversely input from the output shaft 14 and the transmission of rotational torque that is input from the input shaft 13; and a retainer 19 that retains the cylindrical rollers 17 between the outer race 15 and the output shaft 14. The side plate 16 of the reverse input blocking clutch 12 is fixed to a tilt frame 3 that is displaceably attached to a seat frame 2. The output shaft 14 of the reverse input blocking clutch 12 is rotatably linked to a gear plate 4 that is attached to the seat frame 2.
