Abstract:
Each support region (61) on a base plate (60) of a thrust foil bearing (27) is demarcated by a first boundary line (64b) and a second boundary line (65), and includes an inclined surface (62) which is inclined so as to be increasingly closer to a thrust disc (36) in a direction from the first boundary line (64b) toward the second boundary line (65), wherein the second boundary line (65) is formed so as grow farther away from a first virtual straight line (VL1) in a direction toward the outside in the radial direction when a virtual straight line, which passes through the inside end section of the second boundary line (65) and extends in the radial direction of the base plate (60), is the first virtual straight line.
