Abstract:
Provided is a water-vapor barrier material having balanced properties of flexibility, heat resistance, thermal aging resistance and water-vapor barrier performance, which are required for refrigerant transportation hoses. This thermoplastic resin composition for a refrigerant transportation hose contains a thermoplastic resin and elastomer, and is characterized in that a 10% modulus M10 [MPa] at 25°C, a water vapor permeation coefficient PCH2O [g∙mm/(m2∙24h)] at a temperature of 60°C and a relative humidity of 100%, rupture strength TB150 [MPa] demonstrated in a tensile test at 150°C, and breaking elongation EB150 [%] demonstrated in a tensile test at 150°C satisfy equation (1), equation (2), and equation (3). Equation (1): 0.9 ≤ M10 × PCH2O ≤ 90; equation (2): 1.0 ≤ TB150 ≤ 20; and equation (3): 50 ≤ EB150.
