Abstract:
A test method for a separation membrane module (10) includes the following: an assembly step for sealing, within a casing (2), a separation membrane structure (1) having a porous base material (11) and a separation membrane (12); and a testing step for pressurizing a test liquid suffused over a first main surface side of the separation membrane (12). The test liquid has a property that if the separation membrane structure (1) is soaked for 60 minutes in the test liquid and then dried for 24 hours at 150°C, the He permeation speed reduction rate of the separation membrane is 10% or less.
