Abstract:
The present invention provides a terminal device comprising: a storage unit storing one or more files; a communication unit communicatively connected to an image processing device that performs image processing, including printing; a display unit that displays an operation screen for operating the image processing device; an operation unit that accepts, on the operation screen, an operation for printing a file selected by a user from among the one or more files; and a control unit that carries out control such that if the same file as the selected file is not saved on the image processing device side, print data obtained by converting the file to a data format suitable for the printing is transmitted to the image processing device by the communication unit. The control unit carries out control such that if the same file as the selected file is saved on the image processing device side, instead of transmitting the print data, a print instruction giving an instruction to print the file is transmitted to the image processing device by the communication unit.
