Abstract:

The present invention is a system for treating ship ballast water and a treatment method, the system using a rotating filter filtration device provided with: a filter that is disposed cylindrically so as to surround the axis, is provided to rotate freely with the axis as the center, and has a pleated shape in which the pleats are folded in the radial direction of the cylinder; and an electric motor. The treatment system is configured so that the distance between the rinsing nozzle and the filter valleys is 120 mm or less and so as to be operated in a steady state that satisfies the following conditions a-d. a) The revolution speed of the filter during filtration is 20 rpm to 100 rpm b) The flow rate of the rinsing water flowing out from the rinsing nozzle is 250 m/min or more c) The filtration flow rate per filter membrane area is 5.1 m/h or less d) The amount of water discharged from the discharge flow channel is 5% or more of the filtration flow rate
