Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for reducing the content of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in high-fructose corn syrup, comprising a cation exchange column and an anion exchange column for sequentially removing cations and anions from F42 high-fructose corn syrup obtained by means of isomerization and first decolorization, a heat exchanger for performing heat exchange cooling on F55 high-fructose corn syrup which is obtained from the ion-exchanged F42 high-fructose corn syrup by means of successive concentration, chromatographic separation, blending and second decolouration, a mixed-bed column for purifying the heat-exchanged F55 high-fructose corn syrup and an evaporation tank for concentrating the F55 high-fructose corn syrup after the mixed-bed treatment. Also disclosed is a method for reducing the content of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in high-fructose corn syrup. The present invention reduces the content of HMF in high-fructose corn syrup products and improves the properties of the high-fructose corn syrup products while ensuring the quality of the high-fructose corn syrup products by optimizing the operation mode and parameters of ion exchange and mixed beds.
