Abstract:
A system for controlling a clutch, provided with: a thrust member that is coupled with a clutch in a drivable manner and is movable in the axial direction between a first position at which to release the coupling with the clutch and a second position at which to couple with the clutch; a solenoid that generates magnetic flux in response to application of electric power; a movable part that is arranged to receive the magnetic flux and is coupled with the thrust member in a drivable manner and that moves due to the magnetic flux to drive the thrust member between the first position and the second position; an electric circuit that applies the power with AC power superimposed, to the solenoid; and a controller that is electrically connected to the electric circuit and that detects a current-to-voltage phase difference in the superimposed AC power and compares the detected phase difference with a reference value to determine whether the thrust member is present at the first position or the second position.
