Abstract:
Provided is a synchronizer 90 having a fourth hub 66 fixed to an annular part 65, a fourth sleeve 67, a dog plate 71, and a synchronizer ring SR; wherein the synchronizer 90 is configured so that: the synchronizer ring SR has an outer ring 91, an inner ring 93, and a cone ring 92; the outer ring 91 has a protrusion 91b that is positioned nearer to the fourth hub 66 than a part of the inner ring 93, and that protrudes farther diametrically inward than the part of the inner ring 93; the inner ring 93 has, in an end surface near the fourth hub 66, a concavity 93a that is recessed toward the dog plate 71 and that is capable of engaging with the protrusion 91b; and the outer ring 91 has, in a portion that faces the circumferential-direction end surfaces of the concavity 93a on both circumferential-direction sides of the protrusion 91b, an engagement-maintaining part 91c formed to extend toward the dog plate 71.
