Abstract:

A support and guide device is configured so that, even if there are gaps at the joints between track rails (4) which constitute a guide track (1), the support and guide device is capable of enabling a movement block (2) to smoothly transfer from one track rail (4) to another track rail (4), the movement block (2) moving along the guide track (1). The support and guide device is provided with the serially arranged track rails (4) and a movement block (2) which is capable of moving along the guide track (1) while sequentially transferring between the track rails (4). Each of the track rails (4) has a guide surface (41) provided along the longitudinal direction, and the movement block (2) has a contact (3) which travels on the guide surface (41) of the track rail (4). Auxiliary slide surfaces (5) are provided at the longitudinal opposite ends of each of the track rails (4) so as to be side by side with the guide surface (41) and so as to be tilted relative to the guide surface (41). The movement block (2) is provided with leading slide sections (9) which are configured so that, when the movement block (2) reaches a longitudinal end of each of the track rails (4), a leading slide section (9) faces the auxiliary slide surface (5) of the track rail (4).
