Abstract:
Provided is a superconducting magnet with an iron core that allows efficient maintenance checks. This superconducting magnet 11 with an iron core comprises: an upper iron core section 12 that is located on the upper side of the iron core in an axial direction; a lower iron core section 13 that is located on the lower side of the iron core in the axial direction; a coil section vacuum vessel 20 that is located between the upper iron core section and the lower iron core section within the iron core and that incorporates a main coil; and a freezer port section 30 that is disposed in the upper iron core section and/or the lower iron core section and that has a cold head a tip of which is connected to the main coil section. A freezer port installation region 111 of the iron core, where the freezer port section is provided, and a region other than said region are capable of relative displacement in the axial direction.
