Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to prevent air bubbles from flowing out of a suction strainer in which a filtration part is provided along the horizontal direction. The suction strainer is installed in a tank in which a liquid is stored, and the suction strainer is provided with a filtration part having a tubular pleated filter medium formed by folding a thin plate into a pleated form, a tubular attachment part installed on a side surface of the tank and having one end of the filtration part installed therein, a plate that covers the end of the filtration part on the side where the attachment part is not installed, and a baffle board installed adjacent to the filtration part. The filtration part is installed along the horizontal direction, and the filtration part and the plate are installed inside the tank. The baffle board has a first baffle board installed on the inner side of the pleated filter medium and/or a second baffle board installed on the outer side of the pleated filter medium. The first baffle board is disposed at least at the upper side of a center axis of the filtration part, and the second baffle board is disposed at least at the lower side of the center axis.
