Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to discharge air bubbles trapped inside a suction strainer in which a filtration part is provided along the horizontal direction. This suction strainer, which is provided to a tank in which oil is stored, comprises: a cylindrical filtration part; a first end member and a second end member respectively covering both ends of the filtration part; and a float provided to the second end member. The filtration part is provided along the horizontal direction, and the first end member has a plate-shaped first attachment part provided to a side surface of the tank, a second attachment part provided with the filtration part, and a first hole communicating with a hollow portion of the filtration part and the outside of the tank. The second attachment part, the filtration part, and the second end member are provided inside the tank. The second end member has a plate-shaped part covering the hollow portion of the filtration part, and the plate-shaped part is provided with a vent hole. The float is provided so as to be movable in the horizontal direction between a position closing off the vent hole and a position opening the vent hole.
