Abstract:
Provided is a suction filter configured so that the occurrence of erosion in a pump can be prevented by preventing the occurrence of cavitation. A valve is provided below a cover provided on the upper end surface of a first filtration section and covering the entire upper side of the first filtration section, and the valve is positioned within the hollow section of the first filtration section. The valve has a first valve body which is movable along a bar-like member, and an elastic member which has opposite ends provided to the first valve body and the bar-like member and which pushes up the first valve body toward the cover. When pressure inside a space formed by the first filtration section, the cover, and a lower plate reaches a set pressure lower than a cavitation pressure at which air mixed in liquid becomes bubbles, a closed state in which a hole in the cover is closed by the first valve body and an open state in which the hole is not closed by the first valve body are switched between each other.
