Description:
SUCKING STICKER Technical Field The present invention relates to a sucking sticker which is attached onto the even or slippery surface of glass or furniture by using a difference between an internal air pressure and an external air pressure.

Background Art A sucking sticker is made of a rubber or synthetic resin material, in which internal air is taken out by depressing the sucking sticker or using a pump to thus reduce an internal air pressure and have the sucking sticker attached on the surface of glass or furniture by the atmospheric pressure.

However, as described above, in the case that the whole of a sucking sticker is deformed to remove the internal air, and if the surface of an object on which the sucking sticker is attached is not even, the internal air of the sucking sticker is not completely isolated from the external air thereof. As a result, the sucking sticker may not well stick to the uneven surface of the object, or may be easily separated from the uneven surface thereof.

To solve the above-described problem, the same applicant disclosed Korean Utility Model Publication No. 2003-311509 on May 9, 2003 entitled"Sucking sticker attachable on uneven surfaces"in

which a close adherence portion made of a mixture of rubber and plastic called"Clayton"is provided in the lower portion of the sucking sticker so that the sucking sticker can be closely attached on the surface of the object.

However, the sucking sticker disclosed in Korean Utility Model Publication No. 2003-311509 is provided with a cylinder in the upper portion thereof. Also, a piston and a spring which pushes the piston outwards are provided in the cylinder.

Accordingly, the piston is not fixed. As a result, if an elastic force of the spring becomes weak, a sticking force of the sucking sticker becomes weak. In addition, the cylinder protrudes outwards to thus cause a volume of the sucking sticker to become larger and an esthetic sense thereof to become worse.

Disclosure of the Invention To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a sucking sticker which locks up a piston after the sucking sticker has sticked to the surface of an object, to thus maintain a sticking force continuously.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a sucking sticker provided with a cylinder therein so that an external appearance of the sucking sticker is elegant.

To accomplish the above object of the present invention, there is provided a sucking sticker comprising : a hollow cylinder having a

blind wall on one side and having an opening on the other side; a piston which closely contacts to the inner wall of the cylinder and moves along the inner wall of the cylinder in the lengthy direction of the cylinder; a rod-shaped piston rod whose one side is coupled to the piston separably and whose other side protrudes outwards of the cylinder; a sucking portion which becomes wider as it goes to a lower side and narrower as it goes to an upper side, in which the cylinder is coupled to one side of the sucking portion; and a close adherence portion which is coupled to the edge of the lower portion of the sucking sticker, and is made of a flexible material, to thereby seal the inner portion and the outer portion of the sucking sticker to intercept a flow of air.

Preferably, the cylinder is inserted into the inner portion of the sucking portion and the opening of the cylinder is connected to the outer surface of the sucking portion.

Preferably, the piston is provided with one or more insertion grooves for inserting fixing pins, on the outer surfaces thereof.

A spring is inserted into the inner portion of each fixing pin insertion groove, and a fixing pin is combined with the upper portion of the spring so as to be moved along each groove, in which the fixing pin protrudes outwards by the spring to make the piston fixed, at the time when the piston goes backward.

Also, the fixing pin insertion groove is exposed out of the

cylinder when the piston goes backward, so that the fixing pin can be inserted into the fixing pin insertion groove.

Preferably, the sucking portion is curved in the lower portion thereof.

Also, a plurality of grooves are formed on the external portion of the sucking portion, in which a material of emitting a sweet smell is separably inserted into the grooves.

Preferably, a plurality of sucking portions are combined with a single cylinder in the sucking sticker.

The sucking portion is provided with a valve which intercepts a flow of air at a portion where the sucking portion is combined with the cylinder.

Brief Description of the Drawings The above and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing the preferred embodiment thereof in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a sucking sticker according to an embodiment of the present invention ; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an assembly of a cylinder and a piston according to an embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the piston of the sucking sticker provided with a U-shaped fixing pin according to another

embodiment of the present invention.

Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention A sucking sticker according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be'described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The sucking sticker according to the present invention includes a cylinder 10, a piston 20, a piston rod 30, a sucking portion 40, and a close adherence portion 50.

First, the cylinder 10 will be described below with reference to FIGs. 1 to 3. The cylinder 10 is configured into a hollow pillar shape. The cylinder 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured into a hexahedron, in which a front end is closed to form a blind wall and a rear end is opened to form an opening. Here, it is preferable that the rear end of the cylinder 10 is bent inwards so that a piston to be described later does not slip out.

In the present invention, the cylinder is not limited to a hexahedron shape, but can be configured into various forms such as a column or a hexagonal pillar.

A throughhole (not shown) is formed in the front side of the cylinder 10. Accordingly, if the internal pressure in the cylinder decreases, the external air flows into the cylinder via the throughhole.

The piston 20 will be described below with reference to FIGs.

1 to 3. The piston 20 closely contacts the inner wall of the cylinder, and moves along the inner wall thereof. A rubber ring 26 is provided around the surface of the piston 20, in order to block a flow of air between both the front and rear sides of the piston 20.

In this embodiment, a threaded groove 21 is provided on the center of the inner side of the rear end of the piston 20, so that one end of a piston rod to be described later can be combined with the threaded groove 26. However, the present invention is not limited to the threaded groove 26 which is combined with the piston rod as described above. As an alternative, a ring may be formed on one end of the piston and one end of the piston rod may be hooked up the ring.

A plurality of fixing grooves 22 are formed on the outer circumference of the piston 20. The fixing grooves 22 are exposed externally when the piston 20 moves backwards. In this case, a nail 24 inserted into each groove 22 is protruded upwards by an inner spring 23 to thus contact the rear end wall of the cylinder 10.

Accordingly, it is prevented that the piston is sucked into the inner portion of the cylinder by a low pressure in the cylinder.

However, instead of supporting the cylinder by the nail 24 and spring 23 as described above, a U-shaped fixing pin 25 is inserted into the exposed grooves 22. Accordingly, the end of the U-shaped fixing pin 25 is protruded to contact the cylinder 10 so that the

piston 20 does not move into the cylinder 10.

The piston rod 30 will be described below with reference to FIGs. 1 to 3. The one end of the piston rod 30 is connected to the piston 20 and the other end thereof is protruded out of the cylinder 10. The piston rod 30 plays a role of pulling the piston 20 backwards by an external force. In this embodiment, the piston rod 30 has a threaded end which can be separably connected to the threaded groove 21 formed on the piston 20.'Accordingly, after the sucking sticker has been attached on an object, the piston rod can be separated from the piston in order to remove the externally protruded portion. However, instead of the thread coupling between the piston and the piston rod, a ring may be formed on the piston and one end of the piston rod may be bent and then hooked up the ring, to thus pull the piston. backwards.

The sucking portion 40 will be described below with reference to FIGs. 1 to 3. In general, the sucking portion 40 is made of hard synthetic resin and configured into a truncated cone or a truncated pyramid. The cylinder 10 is combined with one side of the sucking portion 40. In this embodiment, the cylinder is inserted into the sucking portion 40, and only one end of the rear portion of the cylinder 10 is connected to the surface of the sucking portion 40.

Accordingly, the portion protruding from the sucking sticker is minimized to reduce the volume thereof. Here, the bottom portion of the sucking portion 40 is generally configured into a flat shape,

but can be formed of a curved surface according to an attachment surface as shown in FIG. 1.

A plurality of grooves 41 are formed on one side of the sucking portion 40. A stick 60 which emits an elegant smell mat be inserted into each groove 41. Here, the stick emitting the elegant smell can be separated from the groove so that a user can select a desired smell.

The close adherence portion 50 will be described below with reference to FIGs. 1 to 3. The close adherence portion 50 is made of a flexible material such as a mixture of rubber and plastic called Clayton. The close adherence portion 50 is attached around the circumference of the low end of the sucking portion 50, so that the sucking sticker of the present invention can closely contact the surface of an object, in order to block communications between the inner and outer portions thereof.

In this embodiment, the blind wall side of the cylinder is inserted into the sucking portion 40m which can minimize the externally protruded portion. However, the present invention is not limited to the case where one side of the cylinder is inserted into the sucking portion 40.

As an alternative, the cylinder is position at the upper side of the sucking portion 40 and a throughhole is formed on the lower side of the cylinder 10 and the upper side of the sucking portion 40, respectively, so that the cylinder 10 and the sucking

portion 40 can communicate from each other via the throughholes.

Accordingly, if the internal pressure in the cylinder lowers, the air in the sucking portion 40 flows into the cylinder 10.

Also, a plurality of sucking portions may be formed in a single cylinder. In this case, the adjacent sucking portions are connected via a tube. The tube is connected to a throughhole formed on one side of the cylinder. Accordingly, the air in the sucking portion moves toward the cylinder as the piston moves along the inner portion of the cylinder. Here, a valve is installed in the tube, which blocks external air from flowing into the cylinder through the sucking portion which does not closely contact the surface of an object where the sucking sticker according to the present invention is attached.

The function of the sucking sticker according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGs. 1 to 3.

First, the piston rod 30 is inserted into and threadedly combined with the piston 20. Then, the piston 20 is completely pushed forward. Then, the sucking sticker is made contact the surface of an object and the piston rod 30 is pulled backwards. As a result, the piston 20 moves backwards and the internal pressure of the cylinder 10 lowers, and thus the air in the sucking sticker moves into the cylinder, so that the internal pressure in the sucking sticker lowers. The piston rod is completely pulled until

fixing grooves 22 formed on the surface of the piston 20 are exposed. Then, a fixing pin 25 is inserted into the fixing grooves 22 to prevent the piston 20 from being sucked into the cylinder.

Finally, since the internal pressure of the sucking sticker becomes lowered in comparison with the external pressure thereof, the sucking sticker according to the present invention is closely attached on the surface of the object.

Industrial Applicability As described above, the present invention provides a sucking sticker which can easily stick to even an uneven surface of the an object, and continuously maintain a difference between the inner and outer pressures of the sucking sticker to thus make it possible to stick to the surface for a long time. Also, the present invention can heighten an esthetic sense since a cylinder is formed in a sucking portion to avoid an externally protruding portion.

As described above, the present invention has been described with respect to a particularly preferred embodiment. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and it is possible for one who has an ordinary skill in the art to make various modifications and variations, without departing off the spirit of the present invention.
