Abstract:
This straight and curved guide rail includes a straight portion and a curved portion and servers to guide the movement of a mover. The straight and curved guide rail comprises a base portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the straight and curved guide rail and a track portion which is provided on the base portion, which extends in the longitudinal direction and which has a pair of rail ends in both side portions of the straight and curved guide rail in the width direction, the rail ends each including a track surface that contacts the mover. The straight and curved guide rail includes, in areas including end portions in the longitudinal direction, low rigidity areas that are lower in rigidity in a part including the track surfaces than the other areas.
