Abstract:
Provided is a stepless transmission (10) having a simplified hydraulic circuit. Drive force in a forward and backward movement direction relative to a variator (11) is applied to a carriage (17) by a hydraulic cylinder (20) having first and second oil chambers (23, 24). A first oil passage (31) and a second oil passage (32) are connected to the first and second oil chambers (23, 24), respectively, and a first hydraulic pump (33) is connected to the first oil passage (31) and the second oil passage (32). A pump drive device (34) drives the hydraulic pump (33) in a first direction and a second direction which is opposite the first direction; therefore the single hydraulic pump (33) can supply hydraulic oil to the first and second oil chambers (23, 24) through the first oil passage (31) and the second oil passage (32). As a result, the hydraulic circuit can be simplified.
