Abstract:
This invention makes it possible to easily change from a state in which a step is accommodated to a state in which the step is extended in a step structure for saddle-ride type vehicle. The step structure for saddle-ride type vehicle comprises a step which is provided so as to turn about a shaft provided to a stay, a ball (43) and a groove (70) which are provided between the stay and the step, and a pushing member which pushes the ball (4) toward the groove (70). The step can turn between an extended position at which the step is extended in a vehicle width direction and an accommodated position at which the step is turned about the shaft upward with respect to the extended position. The step is locked to the extended position and the accommodated position by the ball (43) engaging with the groove (70). The groove (70) includes a first groove (71) with which the ball (43) engages at the extended position and a second groove (72) with which the ball (43) engages at the accommodated position. The second groove (72) has an arc shape extending long in a turn direction (R) about the shaft.
