Abstract:
A steering device according to the present invention is configured such that a bearing (8) is biased by a wire spring (93) in a direction (N-direction) that is inclined with respect to a gear meshing direction (M-direction). Accordingly, a component force (F1) in the gear meshing direction (M direction), of the biasing force (F) acting in the inclination direction (N direction), suppresses rattling of the worm gear in the gear meshing direction. Furthermore, of the biasing force (F), a component force (F2) in a direction (W-direction) orthogonal to the gear meshing direction suppresses rattling of the worm gear in the orthogonal direction (W-direction) to the gear meshing direction.
