Abstract:
In a steering device according to the present invention, among a retainer first end part (71a) and second end part (71b), which are the axial end parts of a retainer (71), the retainer second end part (71b), which is closer to a spring-holding member (73), is provided with a retainer chamfered section (713), said retainer chamfered section being provided at the outer peripheral portion of the retainer second end part that is closest to the holding member (73). By providing this retainer chamfered section (713) it is possible to suppress catching of the outer peripheral edge of the retainer second end part (71b) and a spring-holding member contact surface (732), thereby ensuring smooth movement of a rack bar (3).
