Abstract:
This steering device comprises: a worm gear part 50 driven and rotated by an electric motor 41; a worm wheel part 60 connected to the worm gear part 50 and which rotates concomitant with the movement of the worm gear part 50; a pinion shaft 22 provided coaxially with the worm wheel part 60 and which rotates concomitant with the movement of the worm wheel part 60; and a rack shaft 21 which moves a part to be steered in response to the rotation of the pinion shaft 22. The worm wheel part 60 is formed from resin material, and includes a body part 63 which rotates and has a periphery provided with teeth 611, and an inhibiting part 67 that inhibits deformation due to temperature changes in the body part 63.
