Abstract:
A steelmaking method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: introducing a first raw material into a blast furnace to produce pig iron; introducing a second raw material into an electric arc furnace to produce a first molten steel; and introducing the pig iron, the first molten steel, and steel scraps into a converter to produce a second molten steel. The amount (K) of carbon dioxide emitted during the production of one ton of the second molten steel is defined by expression 1.
