Abstract:
The present invention provides a steel sheet 1 for cans, the steel sheet 1 having excellent corrosion resistance and excellent weldability. This steel sheet 1 for cans has, on the surface of a steel sheet 2, two or more coating layers 3 and a chromium-containing layer 4 sequentially from the steel sheet 2 side; the chromium-containing layer 4 comprises a plurality of core-shell particles 5; the core-shell particles 5 are arranged on a coating layer (3b) that is adjacent to the chromium-containing layer 4 among the coating layers 3; and the core-shell particles 5 each have a core 5a which is formed of chromium metal or a chromium compound, and a shell 5b which is formed of chromium oxide and covers the core 5a.
