Abstract:
Provided is a stator core manufacturing method with which a layered object including a plurality of annular core plates layered in the thickness direction is divided in the circumferential direction to form divided cores each including a plurality of planar divided core pieces layered in the thickness direction. The stator core manufacturing method comprises: a division line forming step for forming a plurality of division lines disposed in the circumferential direction on a steel sheet by pushing out a division line forming area, where a boundary part between the plurality of divided core pieces is formed on the steel sheet, in the thickness direction of the steel sheet; and a push-back step for pushing the division line forming area that has been pushed out in the thickness direction back to the original position. In the division line forming step, on a first division line that is at least one of the plurality of division lines, a cut-off part at which a portion of the first division line is cut off is formed.
