Abstract:
Disclosed is a starting device that includes: an input member to which torque is transmitted from an engine; an output member; a damper device that includes an input element, an output element fastened to the output member via a plurality of output-side fastening members, and an elastic body for transmitting torque between the input element and the output element; and a clutch for coupling and decoupling the input member and the output member via the damper device. The clutch includes a power transmission element fastened to the input element of the damper device via a plurality of input-side fastening members, and the distance from the center axis of the starting device to the axial center of the input-side fastening members is shorter than the distance from the center axis to the axial center of the output-side fastening members. Thus, it is possible to further improve the vibration damping performance of a damper device.
