Abstract:
Provided are a spring assembly that can be supported on a substrate with minimal coil spring tilt, and a method for manufacturing said spring assembly. In this spring assembly 10, in which a coil spring 50 is supported on a spring support member 20: a pair of holding pieces 25, 25, placed on the outer diameter side of the coil spring, and inner side walls 30, placed on the inner diameter side of the coil spring to face the holding pieces 25, 25, are formed on a substrate 21 of the spring support member 20; the holding pieces 25 each have an upright part 35 that along with an inner side wall 30 sandwiches one end part 53 of the coil spring 50, and a bent part 37 that is bent in the inner diameter direction of the coil spring from the tip of the upright part and that restrains the coil spring 50 from coming loose; and with the one end part 53 of the coil spring 50 sandwiched by the upright parts 35 and the inner side walls 30, gaps 40 are formed between the bent parts 37 and the one end part 53 of the coil spring 50.
