SPOOL ASSEMBLY AND SHUT-OFF VALVE

A spool assembly, comprising a valve stem (1-1), a valve clack (1-2) and a sealing filler member (1-3); the valve clack (1-2) is arranged on a lower end of the valve stem (1-1) by means of a coaxial fixed connection; taper threads (1-2a) are distributed on an outer peripheral wall of the valve clack (1-2); the sealing filler member (1-3) is provided with a central through hole (1-3a); the sealing filler member (1-3) is made of plastic; when in use, the taper threads (1-2a) of the valve clack (1-2) generate corresponding internal threads which match with the taper threads in the central through hole (1-3a) of the sealing filler member (1-3). Further disclosed is a shut-off valve which employs the foregoing spool assembly. The shut-off valve has a simple structure and easy installation. For use, the sealing filler member would simply need to be fixed into a mounting slot of the shut-off valve. The internal threads on the sealing filler member are generated by the corresponding taper threads on the valve clack, which means positioning need not be taken into consideration to ensure a reliable match.
