Abstract:
The present invention provides: a sponge roller having a shaft and an elastic layer formed on the outer circumferential surface of said shaft, the sponge roller being characterized in that the elastic layer is formed from cells of millable silicone rubber and unexpanded microballoons and cells of chemical foaming agent; and an image-forming apparatus characterized in being provided with said sponge roller. This sponge roller has high durability, excellent surface smoothness and low permanent compression set.
