This speed reducer comprises: an input unit including a first bearing having an input shaft and a first inner race that is eccentric and rotates together with the input shaft; a cycloidal gear; a plurality of inner circumferential pins; an inner circumferential pin holder that holds both axial ends of the plurality of inner circumferential pins, and surrounding the outer circumferential surface of the input unit; a second bearing disposed on the outer diameter side of the cycloidal gear, and including a second inner race that is an output shaft, a second outer race disposed on the outer diameter side of the second inner race, and a rolling element disposed between the second inner race and the second outer race; and a plurality of outer circumferential pins held by the inner diameter surface of the second inner race, and which engage with the outer teeth of the cycloidal gear. The first inner race is provided separately from the input shaft. The input unit includes a movement regulating part that regulates the circumferential movement of the first inner race with respect to the input shaft.
