Abstract:

Provided is a spacer for a radial needle bearing, configured in such a manner that the wear of the portions at which the spacer and an adjacent counter-member rub against each other is minimized by causing an oil film of an appropriate amount to be present at the portions, the oil film having an area which is not excessive, and in such a manner that the dynamic torque of the double-row radial needle bearing is reduced. Recesses which are recessed in the direction separating from a counter-member adjacent to column sections (13a) or rim sections (12) are provided in the outer surfaces of the column sections (13a) in the radial direction and/or the circumferential direction, and/or in the outer surfaces of the rim sections (12) in the radial direction and/or the axial direction. Preferably, closed end radial recesses (22) which are recessed inward in the radial direction are provided in the outer surfaces of the column sections (13a) in the radial direction.
